Song: Your Love Is Better Than Life
Album: GO
Yeah! Paul Colman’s favorite song, which, according to the band is "a little wacked out" –which is a real good thing, right? Also, the writing of this song was a little bit of a "family affair" it was written by Peter & Summer Furler, Steve Taylor, Paul Colman, and Phil Joel. Your trivia for today. Your now a little bit smarter. Yay you.

I dunno, I dunno, I dunno. Who knows? I don’t know that either.

I dunno nothing that I haven’t been taught,
I dunno why I was born into the family I’ve got,
I dunno if I ever had an original thought
maybe not, maybe so, maybe later, I dunno

Ever felt that way? Ever felt like your don’t know anything, nothing’s making sense, there’s all this stress and all this blind without-direction life trekking. Ever felt like that?

"I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
…Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death.
I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone." — Thomas Merton, Thoughts in Solitude

I think of this song in connection with Lord (I Don’t Know) (by newsboys, off of Thrive). We may not understand what is around us, we may not need to understand it all, but God is ever there, even unto death, making his love better than life.

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. — Psalms 63:3
