There is the line, "Life's too short to even care at all."
I beg to differ.
Life is so long that you should care. You're living with the consequences and/or memories for the rest of your life.
As nice as it would be to Not Care, that wouldn't be logical at all.
Sometimes I think that it would be really great if life was one colossal fling. If nothing really mattered. Wouldn't it be fun to live purely selfishly and not give a care what someone else thought of you or of the consequences.
The song makes me think that the lead singer lived like that, and now he is taking the metephorical cough syrup for the results of his mindless actions.
