There's an App For That

I have an iPad Mini that I bought, like, the week it came out. I bought it at one of the Apple stores, it is black, and I have an orange and black Cygnett case for it that I bought at Best Buy.

It has 90+ apps on it. I think I may have a problem.

1. Messages--conversations with other iProduct users. I use this once or twice a day.

2. Skype--I have never used this app ever. Never had the opportunity to Skype anyone.

PHOTOGRAPHY FOLDER

3. Photos--an awesome app. Wish that you did not have to still keep photos in the Camera Roll after moving them to different folders.

4. Camera

5. Instagram--I am a fan of Instagram. I love sharing photos! I just wish that there was an iPad version of the app available.

6. Momentsia--app specifically for creating photo collages, photos can be taken in the app or from the photo library.

7. Postagram--one of my newest apps. Use the app to send your photos in postcard form by snail mail to others. I have not tried it yet. FYI: right now you get five free postcards when you download the app. (No iPad version as of now.)

8. Videos

9. Pic Stitch--this is the advanced version of Momentsia. You have photo editing options and the ability to send stitched photos to Walgreens for pick up. Also, this one is iPad capable.

10. Photo Toaster Junior--this app is good for simple editing. It edits in a filter fashion, similar to Instagram.

11. Snapseed--I think I got lucky and was able to download this app for free during a sale. This app is excellent for extensive photo editing. The options are near endless!

END PHOTOGRAPHY FOLDER

12. Tumblr--all day, everyday. Only problem I have with this app is the bug that sometimes sends posts into cyber space when you hit post, usually posts the second time around, though.

13. YouTube--I was kind of perturbed when, on buying my iPad, I found out there was no YouTube app available for me. Say what? Since then this app was born and it is pretty much excellent.

ENTERTAINMENT FOLDER

14. Netflix--this app is only good if you have a subscription to Netflix which I do.

15. Redbox Instant--this app is for watching Redbox movies instantly. It requires a $8/month subscription. I am not a subscriber at this time but I have the app because I am on the fence.

16. Amazon Instant Video--I am on the fence! I should probably delete this one because I do not think I will ever go with Amazon. I mean, subscription costs plus rental costs? I think not.

17. Hulu Plus--maybe I will subscribe to Hulu one day and want the app? Lol

18. HBO Go--I can use this to watch HBO shows on the go. Exciting!

19. ABC Player--lots of full episodes to watch. For free. Awesome sauce-um.

20. ABC Family--this holds a much smaller selection of TV shows but it also has full episodes for free.

21. TBS--this is where I watch full episodes of The Big Bang Theory. App receives A++ for that reason.

22. TLC--mostly just clips and promos for their shows. A small spattering of full episodes.

23. Fox Now--no episodes for me because my provider is not yet available. Pointless to me. This app seems to be most for commentary and fun facts.

24. PBS--lots of full episodes. Excellent if you like the sort of thing that PBS airs.

25. Fandango--good for seeing what is coming to theaters and what is currently playing in your area. Real nice and handy.

26. TV Guide--just downloaded recently. I have yet to create a log in and explore what this app has to offer.

END ENTERTAINMENT FOLDER

27. Pandora--whatever did I do before Pandora? I love it and they have a awesome app.

28. Pinterest--yes, that's right. I've got me some Pinterest boards. I love pinning clothes and home decor mostly. One thing I have learned from my pins is that my heart wants more cardigans.

THINK APPS FOLDER

29. iBrainstorm--I downloaded this in the middle of planning my wedding and my not-meant-to-be honeymoon. It was an okay app. I liked the post-it notes.

30. Planner Plus--I keep saying that I will get my life organized but I keep not doing it and so this app goes unused.

31. Evernote--can use this app to view content downloaded from the web. Also, nicely compatible with my AirPrint printer.

32. Blogger--what I am using right now. I wish that this app allowed me to see my previous labels when labeling posts. Otherwise, pretty sweet.

33. Unstuck--I downloaded this out of curiosity. It posed some interesting questions and sparked some thoughts. Also, lovely graphics.

34. Inkflow--another app I downloaded during the pre-wedding bliss stage. I am not very handy with my finger and the free version is very basic.

35. Paper--could be a very handy tool for creating things if you are willing to drop a couple of bucks. Free version gives only the bare essentials.

36. SketchTime--this app is pretty good for the buck you don't have to spend. If you want a free app to try your hand at drawing with, this one is a good start before you start shelling out cash to the more acclaimed Paper app.

END THINK APPS FOLDER

37. Kayak--I downloaded this when I needed to find a flight to Florida for my honeymoon. Now I keep it on my home page because the icon is orange and orange is cool.

LIFESTYLE FOLDER

38. Zappos--this place is super great. Mostly because their return policy is unreal. Their catalog is easy to browse with the app.

39. Best Buy Deals--I should probably keep an eye on this app because I have $5 off my next purchase.

40. Etsy--I looooove Etsy. Oh the things that you can buy on Etsy. I love the uniqueness, craftiness, everything. App is super handy to. Almost as fun to browse as Pinterest is.

41. Walgreens--you can use this app to fill prescriptions and send photos from your device to be printed within an hour. Two things I want to happen.

42. Forever 21--their app is a little confusing but I like to browse their stuff and watch for deals.

43. La-Z-Boy Catalog--I downloaded this when I recently bought a recliner from them. I am going back to get the matching sofa soon!!

44. Wootle HD Lite--I use this app to keep tabs on what is being sold in Woot's shirt department. The app shows me the shirt of the day but doesn't have a way to view their entire selection.

45. Chase--keeping tabs on the finances. Excellent app.

46. U.S. Bank--handy for watching my progress in paying off my loan. So far still to go! Good app, though. I don't do this put you can pay your bills with photo pay. A++

47. AmEx for iPad--pie charts. Pie charts!! AmEx is doing something really well. I love to see spending broken down and categorized.

48. Spending--I purchased this to help me budget and keep my finances under control. My bankers have such handy apps though, I never use this one. (Besides, it is cheap and crummy.

49. Nextag Shopping--this app compares prices over multiple retailers when you search for items you wish it buy. Also notifies you of deals and coupons.

50. Coupon Cabin--lots of coupons and percent off deal notifications. Very good to scroll through this app before going shopping. Lots of deals listed in an easily accessible fashion.

51. Coupon Sherpa--this is not compatible with the iPad. This app is similar to Coupon Cabin but with less information.

52. Groupon HD--similar to Living Social, Groupon makes you aware of deals and savings in your area. Thinking about getting a mani-pedi, salon down the street is doing them 70% off this week only. That sort of thing.

END LIFESTYLE FOLDER

53. Google--my husband downloaded this and uses it whenever he borrows my iPad. I, however, have never used it. I just use the Google built in to the Safari app.

54. App Store

55. iTunes--I have no music on my iPad at all. Huh.

56. Snapchat--I just downloaded this a few hours ago. It sounds like a fun way to do long-distance communication. Basically it allows you to send recordings or photographs to other Snapchat users. When the friend receives it they have ten seconds after they open it before it disappears. I haven't tried it out yet.

GAMES FOLDER

57. Soduku 2--for when I am feeling either a) dumb or b) bored.

58. Solitaire--shameless entertainment.

59. Sims FreePlay

60. InstaMatch--it is the game Memory using either generic stock photos or your own Instagram photos. For when I am feeling particularly scatterbrained and need some mental stimulation.

61. Photo Booth

62. Bomb Scare--incredibly difficult. I downloaded it thinking it was like Minesweeper but it is not. Incredibly sad.

63. FC Rocket--I downloaded this one day when I expected to need some way to entertain small children. This is a good app but was not the life of the party.

64. Albert HD--I think this app is supposed to be educational or something. It is not overly exciting, maybe because the graphics are so unexciting.

65. Pocket Frogs--it is like Sims, except you are raising frogs instead of people. Lol

66. Jetpack--this app was the life of that party. The kids loved it and were about fifty times better at it than I was.

67. Tinkerbox--this is a fun app for the mechanically minded. Lots of physics and stuff. Graphics are good, puzzles are challenging.

68. Words With Friends--this is a fun app. I paid a couple of bucks for it but then in started crashing like crazy. Also, why do you not have the ability to delete games? You should be able to delete games.

END GAMES FOLDER

BOOKS FOLDER

69. Amazon--why do I have this in my books folder? It so clearly belongs in my Lifestyle one. Oops. App for shopping Amazon.com, everybody needs this one.

70. Kindle--lots of free books available to read. If you have time to read books, which I definitely do not.

71. iBooks--more free books! The written word is excellent brain food. Again, it would help if I had two spare seconds outside of work and Tumblr and writing mundane blog posts.

72. Goodreads--I loved Goodreads back when I was an avid reader. There app has seen a lot of improvements and, at this point, is actually really good.

73. Flipboard--this app is so confusing. I cannot make heads or tails of it. The format is too busy and hard to decipher. I just stuck it in my Books folder and forgot about it.

END BOOKS FOLDER

74. Urban Dictionary-- I love Urban Dictionary! Super great for looking up the things you won't find in a dictionary. According to them my first name is a slang term for "most awesome girl ever" and my last name is the "sexiest last name in the world." You got that right, Urban D!

UTILITIES FOLDER

75. Calendar

76. Clock

77. Settings--where you are able to change your tones and wallpaper and customize stuff which is always fun to do!

78. Maps--super handy and useful. It is the Maps app from Apple and not Google. I have not tried the Google Maps app.

79. The Weather Channel--this app is pretty good. I like the scenery on the home page and it shows animated weather apps which is awesome and the part of a weather app that my husband wants.

80. Notes

81. Contacts

82. Calculator--this is a somewhat not nice app. I do not like the interface or graphics.

83. Speedtest--testing the speed of your Internet on your device. Works good. It is not optimized for iPad.

84. Game Center--I have not used this app at all. Not ever.

85. Reminders

86. Candle--I honestly cannot remember why I downloaded this. Maybe for a candlelight dinner??

END UTILITIES FOLDER

87. Newsstand--this app is stupid and the fact that you cannot put it in a folder is stupid and sucky.

88. Safari

89. Mail--this app is excellent on iPad. I love it. Open, clean interface. I have about 9,000 messages stored in my email account. Yikes.

90. FaceTime--I have never used this app. It is the same as Skype except only between Apple users. I want to use it to communicate with people I am unable to see regularly but have not done so.

91. Music--I have no music on this device. None at all. I just use Pandora.

Hmmm...do I have enough apps?
