The Dandelion/Everybody Likes You

Once upon a time, right in your backyard, there lived a Dandelion.

The Dandelion was in the ground next to a wild lily bed. This may seem odd to you but the Dandelion and one of the lilies were friends. The had lived so long together that they had become quite friendly. The Lily was popular wherever it went, people ok we to comment on it's immense beauty and desired one in their own backyards. The poor Dandelion however had none of those pleasures, no one wanted a dandelion. No one commented on the Dandelion's color or the elegance of it's stems or leaves. The poor Dandelion was often subjected to times of melancholy.

However, like most heroic characters the Dandelion persevered and remained strong, optimistic, and brave.

The Lily, has you might imagine had more friends than just the Dandelion. The Lily loved to be with all kinds of other plants. Anything from the mosses to the oak trees loved the Lily and the Lily genuinely loved them back. The Lily was a peculiar character who struck merriment and wonder into every flower that the Lily met. The Lily also genuinely loved the Dandelion but, sadly, to the other flowers the Dandelion was but a weed. Only a weed.

They were all civil to the Dandelion but, always, they did not care to visit the Dandelion and the Lily's neck of the garden if the Lily was not there. The disappointed the Dandelion thoroughly and it wondered why? What did the Dandelion have or not have that caused this? The Dandelion was at a loss.

Sadly, the Dandelion was not always civil and suffered times of dejectedness. But, like heroic characters that people only hear of but never are, the Dandelion persevered and lived out its short life in pleasant occupations. It's only wish, as it passed its life onto it's seeds was that those seeds would grow in a place where they would know someone who loved it and thought that very little was pleasanter than spending time with it.

The end.

(Yes, I am having a hard time consentrating on my chemistry.)
